For the families with individuals with Intellectual developmental disabilities and behavioral needs. Services are to help individual self help and daily living skills, implements a pre-behavior plan to support behavioral needs.
Intermittent or regularly scheduled temporary non-medical care and/or supervision provided in the person’s home.
Assisting the family members to enable a person with developmental disabilities to stay at home;
Providing appropriate care and supervision to protect that person’s safety in the absence of a family member(s);
Relieving family members from the constantly demanding responsibility of providing care; and
Attending to basic self-help needs and other activities that would ordinarily be performed by the family member.
Personal Assistant are used to assist a person with a disability complete typical tasks that are necessary for daily living. The use of personal assistant are often the key to a person being able to successfully live in the home of his or her choice.
Personal assistant are to assist adult individuals who require support in the following areas of activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, meal preparation, feeding, and protective supervision.
Personal assistant services are intended to provide adult individuals with appropriate care and supervision, for community integration purposes and to assist individuals in maintaining community living arrangements, including a living arrangement in the family home, if that is the individual’s preference
